How do I calculate the number of tiles needed for my project?

For floor tiles area - multiply the length and width of the space you want covered.

For wall tiles - measure the length of the wall up and down and the width left to right, then add the square meters of floor area and wall area together. Now you have the total square meter (m2) area, always allow for waste, therefore multiply the total square meter you have by 15%, this will be the actual amount of square meter (m2) you should buy tiles for your project.

Tiles usually come in boxes with their m2 amount labelled, and to know how many boxes you need to buy, divide the total square meter required by the total square meter of tiles in each box.
